Your designers fall into the common error of thinking that because a person expands horizontally, she equally grows vertically. Your coat was like a dressing-gown; though the top half fitted fine, I’ve had to take it in to a tailor to have 10″ cut off the hem – which unfortunately has removed the buttons decorating it. The arms are also long, but at least the elastic cuffs let me keep them within bounds.
